President Barack Obama is returning to the jobs issue by launching a group of Opportunity and Middle Class Jobs Tours that will begin on Thursday in the state of Texas, said a White House spokesperson.

Obama plans to visit areas that are growing to better understand what has been done to help them with their growth to become successful. He then plans to use the successful models for growth and speak with high-tech industry leaders.

The White House spokesperson said the president would also be speaking with workers who have had and are still having a difficult time getting into or staying in the middle class. Obama will discuss his vision for making sure hard work equals a good living.

There have been not been other stops mentioned for the tours, but they seem to be similar to the events Obama conducted in his first term known as White House to Main Street.

However, this time, Obama will be seeking to push Capitol Hill lawmakers on his agenda for the second-term that includes a huge reform bill for immigration and a new plan for debt reduction that includes the wealthy being charged higher taxes.

The White House spokesperson said that things are turning around in a positive way, but the recovery in the economy is not where it should be. The question, said the spokesperson, was whether Congress will join the president to ensure the strength and security of the middle class.
